7 Years Coming
Thanks to Shore Shooters I was able to meet Christian and Jess on a perfect evening despite impending Tropical Storm Claudette. They met at college in Wisconsin, through mutual friends, 7 years ago and just this week agreed to make it a lifelong journey. Their blue heeler puppy bought Christian a few months leading up to the proposal and Jess said he did not disappoint! They went down to the beach on a dark cloudy evening and it was then he asked her to marry him. She said yes and let me just say they were perfect for each other! For some reason, even though we talked several times leading up to their session, I wanted to call Christian Andrew instead. This was an ongoing battle in my mind as the evening progressed and I definitely slipped up way more than I would have liked.
But regardless of the name challenge their session could not have been more magical! We not only had the perfect light for the whole session but our location gave us so much variety that it almost feels like we went to 4 or 5 different locations in one. Yay! Also, you should know by now that I love a couple who is up for anything and Christian & Jess definitely were! We captured some classic poses and portraits for the parents and to hang in the house, but then we got down to business and ran, danced, splashed, and twirled as a vibrant orange and pink sky danced in the sky above. To top it all off we had an almost full moon hangin prettily in the sky right across from the sunset! Of course we took a few photos with the sun AND the moon! This session absolutely gave us the best of both worlds and we all had so much fun.
