Tangy Juice & Old Ships
Day 15 - October 26, 2021
This morning the guy who cooks for me made me a juice to try of alma, cucumber, some spices, and honey. It was tangy, earthy, and delicious. He also made what I call cornbread but he called a pancake. It’s not made out of corn but it has the same texture, flavor, and consistency. I think it’s made out of lentils. Actually, I am beyond impressed with all the ways they use lentils. It’s like us using peanuts 400 different ways.
I spent time today at my window reading over the ministry of Jesus in the gospels and how He treated people of all ages, statuses, and walks of life. I want to live my life like He did and in some ways I think I’m doing well and in other ways I am struggling. I hope to grow in how I respond toward and treat others while I am here. Time will tell.
Today, I designed a newsletter template for a local group and it looks really nice. I am proud of myself. I also ate all of my meals at the house today! The only thing I ate outside was a coffee flavored milkshake while my host and I were scouting locations for a couple’s portrait session tomorrow. OH MY GOODNESS! We found a spot that has an old ship, a rocky hill, a beach front, and jetty’s all in one! I’m so stoked! I will show you a sneak peak of myself at the location and the ship but you will have to wait for a while on the sneak peak of the couple’s session.
My snacks used to consist of popcorn and lemons and I would eat them like the world was ending. Now, whole kiwis are the preferred snack. I have eaten one almost everyday for a week. I have also had Lays chips which I honestly never ate in the US but when you need a salty something they do the trick.
My content is weak today because I am distracted. Maybe I will come back to this one later...or not. Who knows?
